Legal Shite

Giggle is free software, where ``free'' means freedom, not ``without price''.

fixme: Make sure the license agreement isn't viral; choose another if it is.

The source code, scripts, libraries, functions, object code, & possibly other elements of Giggle are licensed according to the terms of the Lesser Gnu Public License (LGPL) with the exception of the file src/getopt.c, which is covered under its own license agreement which is held by The Regents of the University of California.

This documentation about Giggle is covered by its own copyright, not the Lesser Gnu Public License.

At this point, you might be asking ``If software I create uses Giggle, must my software also be covered by the Lesser Gnu Public License?'' No. The license agreement for Giggle covers Giggle only, not software that uses Giggle.2.1

You can read more about free software at the Gnu Website.
