Directories & Files
Suggested base directories for installing
Giggle are
- /usr/local
- the default
- giggle
- where giggle is the
home directory of the Giggle administrator;
I recommend ``giggle'' as the
user name
- $HOME
- where $HOME is your home
directory.
These three suggestions correspond to the
argument for the
--prefix
command line option for
``./configure''. For example, to
install Giggle in your home directory, you would run
``./configure --prefix=$HOME''.
Within the base directory, Giggle will make use of
- lib
- to hold libcybertiggyr-giggle-m.n.a
- include/CyberTiggyr/giggle/
- to hold the header
files that software which uses Giggle will
#include
- man/man1
- to hold the Giggle quick-reference
man page
- share/doc/giggle
- to hold
the complete Giggle documentation
